"Arena" constructed for national foreign trade firms

For foreign trade enterprises, East China Fair is a platform full of commercial opportunities. In recent years, as ECF's influence has increased, a new trend has emerged as large-scale enterprises outside East China also attend the fair.

ECF's influence is beyond East China

ECF has made remarkable achievements after years of exploration, reform and innovation. Numerous Chinese and foreign businessmen and manufacturers, products and useful information have made the fair a grand platform for trading and displaying products and a significant number of deals has been made during the four-day event.

ECF has now become a great stage for China's export products and its exhibitors are not any longer limited to enterprises from East China. Enterprises from Shenzhen, Chongqing, Yunnan, Tibet and a Joint Trade Group consisting of enterprises from more than 20 provinces and cities in China, such as Beijing, Hebei province, Henan province, Hubei province, Hunan province and Sichuan province, stay active at previous ECFs and all have reaped good harvest.

The most noteworthy is the apparent regional discrepancy of China's foreign trade industry that East China's total volume and proportion of foreign trade industry is far higher than that of West and Central China. Hence, there's one more importance of ECF for exhibitors from West and Central China. To attend the fair, besides more orders, they also want to communicate with clients from all over the world to learn about the latest international market. By competing, exchanging and learn from East China's enterprises, West and Central China's enterprises obtained all necessary information and business opportunities, opening up a wider space for their further development.

As the largest regional foreign trade platform in China, ECF, based on East China, serves nation-wide enterprises, integrating all of China's foreign trade enterprises to help them enter the international market, which has become ECF's responsibility in the new era.

National wide foreign trade enterprises reap abundant fruits

The Joint Trade Group actively attended the fair and all its members put up a great performance.

In 2000, traditional Chinese folk dolls in traditional costumes from Kunming Hanhang's traditional folk handicraft workshop were displayed at ECF. Yue Hwa, a Chinese products emporium from Hong Kong, reached a deal worth more than $100,000 with Hanhang, marking the workshop's first step in selling its dolls outside Chinese mainland.

In 2007, Shaanxi province in Northwest China organized 20 local enterprises to attend the fair. Its textiles and garments as well as light industrial products reached deals worth $3.78 million and $10.27 million respectively. Representatives from these enterprises believe that by attending ECF, they were not only able to market their products, but also got acquainted with more clients and established a good corporate image.

In 2010, Tianjin delegation set up 26 booths and organized various economic and trade negotiations during the 20th ECF, warmly welcomed by local foreign trade enterprises.

In 2015, more than 40 foreign trade enterprises from Henan province's one city Zhengzhou welcomed more than 1,300 purchasers from 30 countries and region and signed export contracts and cooperation agreements with businessmen from Japan, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, EU, America and Hong Kong.

In 2017, Leshan of Sichuan province organized five local textile and garment enterprises to attend ECF to improve such local enterprises' influence and competitiveness in international market, three of which greeted more than 1,200 businessmen and reached deals worth $3 million.

There are still many other such examples. Enterprises can not only obtain orders, but also improve themselves by attending ECF.

Leading enterprises dazzle ECF

Over the past two years, upgraded consumption urges ECF's exhibitors to develop new products. It turns out that four kinds of new products – new technology, new material, new craft and new ideas attract the most investment. Lots of enterprises outside East China are expected to attend this year's ECF and bring their high quality products.

Founded in 1986, Hebei province's Rongyi Blanket Co (booths: E6E20, E6E21, E6E22, E6D37, E6D36, and E6D35), a leading blanket manufacturer in China, has developed into a comprehensive enterprise integrating weaving, printing, and marketing blankets. The enterprise now has more than 1,000 employees, 60 of which are professional technicians and 200 manufacturing machines. Rongyi is a blanket manufacturing base with complete product varieties, advanced technology and equipment, and international competitiveness.

Guangzhou Senrong Handbag Manufacturing Co (booths: W1F20, W1F19, W1E61, and W1E62) boasts more than ten years of experience in producing bags with 400 pieces of advanced equipment and monthly output of about four million bags. Its product family includes cosmetic bags, toiletry bags, baby bags, thermal bags, luggage covers, backpacks, sports bags, storage bags, and shopping bags. Senrong has passed the evaluation of two renowned international evaluation organizations – SGS、SEDEX and many Fortune 500 enterprises, such as Coca Cola, Walt Disney Company, H.M., and Nestle.

Sinomax (booths: E6D11, E6D12, E6C46, and E6C45) from Guangdong province is engaged in manufacturing visco-elastic health and wellness products. With two decades of experience in producing such products and progressive enterprise culture, Sinomax, headquartered in Hong Kong, has grown into an international corporation, establishing subsidiaries in Chinese mainland, Macao and the US.
